Lectec Limited Warranty Terms and Conditions
1. Warranty Coverage
Lectec Inc. (“Lectec”) provides a limited warranty for all Lectec electric mobility kits, including but not limited to electric skateboards, electric scooters, and future vehicle kits. This warranty covers manufacturing defects in specified components for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of receipt by the original purchaser.
Under this warranty, defective components will be repaired or replaced with functionally equivalent parts that match or exceed the original components in terms of performance and reliability.
2. Covered Components (12-Month Warranty)
The following components are covered under this limited 12-month warranty:
- Motor
- Motor Mount
- Remote Control Charger
- Pulleys
- RailCore case
- Chassis Components (including skateboard trucks or scooter frame, depending on the product)
3. Limited Warranty for Battery and Wearable Parts (3-Month Warranty)
All other components not listed in Section 2 (including those prone to regular wear and tear) are covered under a 3-month limited warranty. These components include but are not limited to:
- Battery
- Wheels
- Bearings
- Belts
- Bolts
- Griptape
- Deck or frame damage resulting from normal use
- Tools and accessories included in the kit
4. Exclusions from Warranty Coverage
This warranty does not cover damages resulting from:
- Improper usage or handling, including negligent or reckless operation.
- Unauthorized modifications, repairs, or tampering with any component.
- Failure to follow the instructions outlined in the user manual.
- Negligence in battery care, such as excessive high-power use without proper charging intervals.
- Intentional or artificial damage, including cosmetic alterations.
- Water exposure damage, as Lectec products are water-resistant but not waterproof.
5. Warranty Claim Process
To initiate a warranty claim, the original purchaser must:
- Submit a claim request via our support portal at Lectec Customer Support within the warranty period.
- Provide proof of purchase (order number and receipt).
- Provide photos or videos of the issue to facilitate troubleshooting.
- Follow additional instructions from our support team for product inspection and replacement.
Lectec reserves the right to deny warranty claims if the damage falls outside the terms outlined in this document.
6. Limitations and Disclaimers
- This limited warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
- Lectec is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to injuries, property damage, or loss of use.
- Any shipping costs associated with warranty claims may be the responsibility of the customer, depending on the case evaluation.
7. Governing Law
This warranty is governed by the laws of the Delaware, United States and applies exclusively to products purchased through official Lectec sales channels.
