We had an amazing experience at the Maker Faire 2024 in Coney Island, where creators, inventors, and DIY enthusiasts came together to celebrate innovation. Held from October 5-6 at Maimonides Park and The Coney Island Amphitheater, this event was a perfect venue for us to showcase our DIY electric skateboard kits. Maker Faire is known for its hands-on exhibits, and our booth fit right in, allowing attendees to see firsthand how our kits make STEM education engaging and fun through project-based learning.
Our booth was filled with curious minds who were eager to learn about how our kits help students explore engineering, physics, and design. It was inspiring to meet people of all ages, from students to educators and independent makers, all united by a shared passion for building and learning. A particular highlight was getting to meet FRC Team 333, a local robotics team that blew us away with their engineering skills and creativity. It’s always exciting to connect with such motivated and talented young innovators.
The atmosphere at Maker Faire 2024 was electric, with hands-on exhibits, competitions, and panels that showcased a wide range of technologies—from robotics and 3D printing to crafts and future technologies. We left feeling energized and inspired, having connected with so many educators and makers who are as passionate about hands-on STEM learning as we are. We also want to extend a big thank you to Rachel Pizzolato for trying out our electric skateboard at Maker Faire! It was fantastic to see her enthusiasm and excitement while experiencing the engineering and fun behind our DIY skateboard kits. Our time at Maker Faire reaffirmed our belief that learning should be engaging, practical, and fun, and we’re excited to continue our journey of inspiring the next generation of innovators.
