Lectec @ K-12 Carolinas STEM Teaching & Learning Conference

We had an amazing time at the 2025 K-12 Carolinas STEM Teaching & Learning Conference, held at UNC Charlotte’s Mebane Hall. Organized by the Center for STEM Education, this conference brought together educators and researchers to explore innovative ways of integrating STEM concepts into K-12 classrooms.

The event’s mission to provide equitable opportunities for all learners aligns deeply with our approach to STEM education. Through partnerships with schools, afterschool programs, and community organizations, we ensure that our EV kits and curricula reach diverse and underserved populations. By offering reusable, affordable tools and NGSS-aligned content, we help bridge gaps in STEM engagement, particularly for students in grades 6-8. These critical years are essential for sparking interest in STEM pathways, and our solutions connect classroom learning with the world around us, empowering students to apply math, engineering, and problem-solving skills in meaningful, real-life contexts.

At the conference, we were thrilled to showcase our EV kit. Attendees experienced firsthand how this hands-on activity transforms complex engineering and physics concepts into engaging, real-world applications. Educators were excited about how our kits make STEM learning fun, accessible, and deeply relevant, inspiring students to think like engineers and innovators.

The K-12 Carolinas STEM Teaching & Learning Conference was a fantastic experience. We thoroughly enjoyed engaging with experienced STEM professionals and sharing ideas about how to inspire the next generation of problem-solvers and innovators.
