We are excited to share that Lectec has been featured in CSIRO's Double Helix magazine, a publication known for its fun and engaging content that promotes critical thinking, literacy, and a love for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Double Helix, created by CSIRO, Australia's national science agency, is dedicated to sparking interest in STEM subjects for young minds, encouraging readers to explore these fields through hands-on projects and informative articles.
In the latest issue (issue 75), Double Helix features our Lectec electric skateboard kit, offering readers the opportunity to dive into the mechanics of motors, pulleys, and batteries. With all the parts and tools included in the kit, students can easily open the box and begin building their own electric skateboard, learning valuable engineering and problem-solving skills along the way.
We’re also excited to announce that Double Helix magazine is running a competition where readers have the chance to win one of our kits! To enter, readers can find details on page 38 of the issue, giving one lucky winner the opportunity to experience the excitement of building and riding their very own electric skateboard.
We’d like to extend a big thank you to Hudson Graham for his insightful gamer’s review of our Lectec DIY electric skateboard. Hudson highlighted how much he enjoyed building our skateboard, mentioning that the assembly process was both fun and engaging. He also praised the strong torque of the skateboard, especially noting its ability to handle steep hills and driveways with ease. Hudson was particularly impressed with the four speed modes, with the fastest reaching an exciting 12 kilometers per hour!
We also appreciate Hudson's feedback regarding the charging compatibility issue for Australian users. We're pleased to share that we’ve addressed this concern, and our new model now includes a compatible charger for international sockets, ensuring a seamless experience for users around the world.
Hudson’s review, which rated our skateboard 4 out of 5 stars, provided valuable insights for us and future users alike. We’re thrilled to hear that he recommends the kit for ages 10 and up and that he found the skateboard's speed and build to be such a hit. Thanks again, Hudson, for your thoughtful review, and we’re glad you enjoyed your ride!
We’re honored to be featured in such a respected publication and thrilled to contribute to the mission of inspiring young learners to explore the world of STEM through creative, hands-on projects.
