We were thrilled to participate in the 2024 Virginia Association of Science Teachers Annual Professional Development Institute (PDI), themed “Global CSI: Curiosity. Science. Inspiration.” This event brought educators together to explore science through a global lens, emphasizing the importance of curiosity and interconnectedness in education. Held in Virginia, PDI featured a wide array of sessions and activities designed to inspire innovation in teaching science across grades K-12.
Lectec’s mission aligned seamlessly with this theme. Our electric vehicle kits not only teach STEM concepts but also encourage students to think critically about interconnected global issues, such as sustainability and technological innovation. By demonstrating how our hands-on kits can engage students in solving real-world challenges, we highlighted the role of STEM in developing skills that transcend borders. Educators saw how our approach fosters curiosity and creativity while preparing students to tackle the complexities of a globally connected future.
The conference also highlighted cutting-edge technologies, new instructional materials, and the importance of networking with science educators statewide. We were inspired by the general sessions and the opportunity to engage with passionate educators who share our commitment to preparing students for a globally connected future.
